Nurturing health and wellbeing through the practice of Pilates

Welcome

Hello! I’m Amy, and welcome to Body In Line Pilates Studio.

Nurturing the South Coast community since 1999, I became the owner of Body In Line in 2017. I’m a qualified Pilates practitioner and a Principal member of the Pilates Association Australia. With over 20 years’ experience, my passion is working with each client to strengthen, challenge, rehabilitate and improve every body. My goal is to help clients feel stronger, more flexible, balanced, and energised.

We work with beginners through to advanced clients, with a particular focus on helping to enhance fitness as we age, prevent injury or rehabilitate after surgery, injury or illness.

We offer a friendly and welcoming environment where you get results. Classes are held at our fully equipped Studio, conveniently located in the centre of the Gerringong township, opposite Old School Park.

Classes are held Monday to Friday on a school term basis. Please get in touch if you are keen to join a class.

Classes for everyone

Body In Line Pilates Studio offers two distinct types of Pilates classes: Studio and Mat Group classes, each tailored to different needs and fitness goals.

Studio classes are small and highly personalised, incorporating both mat-based exercises and a variety of Pilates apparatus such as the Reformer, Wunda Chair, Cadillac, Ladder Barrel, and more.

These sessions are ideal for those seeking tailored instruction to address specific goals like rehabilitation, general fitness, or cross-training. Studio classes are available as private 1:1 sessions, duet sessions with a partner, or semi-private sessions with up to six participants.

Each class is conducted in the fully equipped studio and designed to focus on postural alignment, core control, strength, and flexibility, with exercises customised to meet the unique needs of every individual.

Mat Group classes focus on traditional mat-based Pilates exercises using body weight as resistance. These classes provide a foundation for the Pilates Method, targeting core strength while also engaging the legs, arms, and back. Mat classes may incorporate props such as light weights, resistance bands, and rings to enhance the workout, and can be modified for all fitness levels, making them particularly suitable for beginners.

While larger than Studio classes, Mat sessions are still kept small (up to 12 participants) to ensure individual attention and a supportive environment. These classes emphasise strengthening, lengthening, and toning exercises inspired by Joseph Pilates’ original methods, however, they are not recommended for individuals with injuries unless cleared by an instructor.

What our clients are saying
